Day 10 No Visit Today
We couldn't have our usual visit today because Dasha's groupa is taking a field trip to McDonald's for lunch. Nobody told us this though, and our driver picked us up as usual and took us to the baby house. When we arrived we went to Dasha's floor and she saw Norm and smiled and came running for a hug. One of the workers tried to tell us about the trip, but we couldn't understand her so we called Luda and she translated. They are going to let us come tomorrow and visit, which is unusual since it's the weekend. Apparently they felt badly about the mix-up and are making an exception. We're happy that we got to see her and she saw us, even if it was just for a few minutes. It's only 10:45 am here and we don't really know what we're going to do with our day. There just isn't much to do in this city. We'll probably take a walk down to the open market and check that out, get some lunch, and take a nap. I have never napped so much in my life, but it's a great way to pass time.

We saw Harry Potter in Russian which was VERY cheap. If there is a movie you already know well or have seen in English at the theater, that would be kind of fun. Since we were there in the winter and it was often yucky out, we spent A LOT of time watching tv online (sidereel.com) and playing cards. And of course, napping.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we pretty much watched things online, some of the shows on TV or napped. Winter weather was no fun and our apartment was at the bottom of a hill that was always icy.
